Meet Amy Barnwell, and read her story!
Finally Me Counseling is owned and operated by Amy Barnwell. With over two decades of service to individuals, families, and couples collectively in diverse settings, her approach is collaborative and solution-focused. Amy has gained experience and expanded her knowledge base through her studies, training, and experience in her work as an Educator, MTSS Coordinator, Mentor, Therapy Manager, Pastor, Military Chaplain, and Therapist. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina, and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in South Carolina, Missouri, Florida, and Texas.
Amy’s education and additional training includes: a Masters’ degree in School Counseling, a Masters’ in Divinity, Certified Educator (K-12 Spanish) (NC) and School Counselor (NC), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Spiritual Issues, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trained (ASIST), Moral Injury, Compassion Fatigue, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Primary Care Provider, Prepare and Enrich Facilitator, and Motivational Interviewing.
